So basically there are three streams after 10th i.e.

1. Arts Stream

2. Commerce Stream

3. Science Stream

Now, its totally depends on you that what you want to do after 10th. If you're willing to become a Doctor then you must choose Science stream with Physics Chemistry and Biology as your three of the main Subjects. If you're willing to become an Engineer then you must pursue Science Stream with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. There's no Undergraduate Course for which only Commerce or Arts background is mandatory.

Apart from these three courses you can go for some Diploma degrees as well, have a look-

1. Diploma in Engineering

2. Diploma in Fine Arts

3. Diploma in Stenography

4. Diploma in Arts Teacher

5. Diploma in Fashion designing

Or you can pursue ITI Courses as well after 10th. But I strongly suggest you to choose either Commerce Science or Arts stream rather than choosing any Diploma Course.
