Hey

Assuming you are referring to Master of Technology course offered by Agricultural and Food Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur, the requiste rank would depend on your category and also a bit on the admission scenario of that year (basically your inevitable luck!).

(i) For general category students, the safe limit is AIR 50, but due to various factors (like students opting for other institutions/specializations, retaking the exam next year etc.) it can be extended to AIR 55–60 (if you are lucky).

(ii) For OBC students, Food Processing Technology is available till AIR 150–170 (again a lot would depend on the total number of OBC students, competitiveness and other factors)

(iii) For SC/ST category students, it’s extends till about 250…or sometimes even 300 (during last/spot round).
