The rank is quite high up in the order. So with general or category rank,  you are not going to be in NIIT OR IIT. It's good for you to be in some private institutions for pursuing the degree in BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY. It will help you out and if don't please go for next year.

It's quite difficult to get into NITS however you can easily get admitted to the State colleges
