Hi Sairam. You can definitely apply for PhD in journalism after acquiring your masters in mass communication in distance stream. But you should take care of the norms of the university/college in which you are applying for PhD. And in case if your institution ( from where you are doing masters) has PhD in journalism, then, you can go for the same university/college.
