The M.D.S. in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is a Post Graduate program. The duration of this degree is three years. 

To study this program, one needs to have completed Baccalaureate of Dental Surgery (BDS) from any Dental Council of India college or university before the Post Graduation.

BDS is a five year long course. The course is divided in two parts, the four year training and one year internship. 

The program, M.D.S. evolves from the branch of Dentistry which is a study, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of caries, discolored, fractured, malformed, nonesthetic teeth. 

Endodontics is the treatment of pulpal and periapical diseases. It deals with the detail pain management. 

The program provides a very advanced knowledge of the subject to the highly established dentists who want to research and are interested in specializing. The program is like training in prevention, treatment of the injuries and diseases of the tooth.
