Dear Preeti, if you haven't attended an exam after registering, that won't be considered an attempt. Only those times when you have registered and attended the exam will be considered as an attempt. A candidate will have 9 attempts if he or she is from General/OBC category and 14 attempts for Reserved category. This limit starts from 17 years to 25 years if General/OBC and 30 years for Reserved category.

If you fall under General/OBC, then you have 9 chances. If you fall under Reserved Category, then ypu have 14 chances.
