Only a few universities abroad except JEE scores for admission to Undergraduate programs. Most universities, in fact, accept SAT scores for admission to their UG programs, a number of universities accept ACT scores. 

You would also require proving your English Language proficiency to study abroad. IELTS  and TOEFL  are 2 of the exams which will prove your English language proficiency. DO check the university requirements for the prescribed exam before you decide which one you would appear for.

no you do not need jee mains to study abroad. instead you have to take required exam for the particular country.

NO, but this is one of the criteria. you are eligible to apply in German universities if you fulfill one of the following criteria:
Successfully completing the first year of a bachelor programme from a recognized university in India in the relevant subject field.Successfully clearing the IIT Joint Entrance Examination for admission to courses in technology and natural sciences.Passing the qualification assessment examination in Germany, called Feststellungsprfung.

In India you have to give jee mains & jee advanced examinationk(for Btech) for getting good colleges such as nit's,Iit's ,Gfti's etc. First you have to clear jee mains and than you will be eligible for nits and if you clear jee advanced than you will eligible for iit's.However,if you want to study abroad for your undergraduate you have to clear examinations such as sat etc than you will be eligible for foreign countries undergraduate programs .For studying abroad you didn't need to clear jee mains examination,even if you clear it there is no value of it...

JEE mains is not required to apply in abroad for engineering. Every country has its own set of rules for admission. Few of the common rules are proficiency in English, completion of high school.
