SSN college of engineering is one of the affiliated college of Anna university , it comes under good category college and there are approx 590 seats , majority of seats get filled in the first round of counselling while many seats are reserved for management quota which is also done on the basis of merit , and some seats are reserved for sports quota and toppers of various state boards or central board, now if it comes to the admission so it is done on the basis of TNEA , JEE mains exam.
Even if it is about TNEA  so cutoff goes under the rank  5500 (average ) for general and it extend to 8000 for OBC now same thing for JEE Mains so cutoff also goes high , in order to secure a seat you need to have good rank even if you still have rank which is near to the cutoff then also your chances of admission will be less because most of the seats get filled in the first round of counselling, with 88 percentile , your chances of admission are less , for this you can try for next section of JEE main exam and try to secure 95-98 percentile that may help you to get admission in the first round most probably.
