As per the UPSC eligibility criteria , a candidate must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to appear for the Civil Services Examination, and there is no mandatory requirement that the degree must be of 4 years under the University Grants Commission (UGC) NEP structure. A traditional 3-year B.Com degree from University of Delhi is fully valid and acceptable for UPSC, provided it is completed and awarded by the university
