VIT is a decent college, and it is very good among the other private colleges. The placements for computer science related branches are good.

In VIT, Computer science Engineering (CSE)  department placement records are slightly better than IT with the highest package offered of 25 lakh per annum. On the other hand, for  IT goes as 16lakh per  annum.

IT branch will open up a large door of opportunities if you have a decent CGPA and have the relevant skills and knowledge.
