Affiliation is provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Regarding NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), it a body funded by UGC to accredit higher studies institutions in India. NAAC accredits the whole body as one and as SRM University's parent institute is SRMIST, hence it gets accredited.SRM Institute of Science and Technology, (formerly SRM University) has been recently accredited with the highest grade A++ by NAAC.
