No... Vokkaliga Gowda is the most forward caste in India...When Deve Gowda was a PM, he intentionally grabbed obc status for Rural Vokkaligas.... Like Gounders/Gowdas in Tamilnadu........... There is No powerful caste than Gounders/Gowdas/Gowdars in India.... But.. They intentionlly Grabbed OBC status.... Even Vyshyas/Chettiyars come under OBC in Tamilnadu

The Vokkaliga/ Vakkaliga/ Sarpavokkaliga (Rural candidates only) Community which is recognised as a Backward class under Serial No.156.

Which in short means, Vokkaliga is a Backward caste in Karnataka , so is Lingayats both enjoy reservation under category 3A and 3B.
So, Yes the vokkaliga caste comes under obc in central list.
