As per my experience after being a student at Delhi University , we are not provided with the books. Professors provide notes and study materials. They will also suggest you some good authors books and writings that you need to follow during your entire semester. The books can be issued by the library for specific duration of time as per your choice. You will have vast range of books related to your course syllabus. So, don't worry about it. Professors do help with all these books and notes related queries.
