Hello,

The BVSc students generally need to deal with animals like cows, dogs, horses, pigs, sheep, poultry, cats, felines, birds, etc., and so, they do not need to deal with reptiles during the study of the course. Experience with reptiles is a different matter. You can limit your practice to certain species, like the ones mentioned above. Reptile veterinarians are called Herp veterinarians, where a student specifically needs to have an additional training to learn more about reptile and amphibian medicine and treatment than the course covered in the usual veterinary school curriculum.

Hope this helps!!!
