Self reliant india also known as atmanirbhar bharat abhiyan is an initiative which was laid down by prime minister Narendra modi in may, 2020. The primary objective at that time was time promote the local products at both local and global level and achieve self reliance.

The beneficiaries of this initiative included people from primary sector, secondary sector, tertiary sector and quaternary sector like labourers, farmers, daily wage workers, etc. It included several themes like local for global, vocal for local and made for world.

It drastically reduced dependence on external sources for the products/facilities that are already being made locally.
