Hello,

Aggregate percentage is nothing but overall percentage taken together. To qualify in JEE advanced you need to score the minimum aggregate percentage in individual subject that is Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, also you need to score the minimum aggregate percentage altogether in JEE advanced. In 2020 the qualifying minimum aggregate marks and minimum aggregate marks in individual subjects to qualify in JEE advanced is as follows category wise

  • General: 69, 6
  • OBC-NCL/EWS: 62, 5
  • SC/ST/PWD (including all categories PWD): 34, 3
  • Preparatory course: 10, 0(no minimum marks in each individual subject)

The marks mentioned above are the aggregate marks and aggregate marks in individual subject respectively. Suppose that you belong to general category then you need to score minimum 6 marks in each Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and the overall score in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together must be minimum 69 marks to qualify in JEE advanced. Cut off changes in 2021 depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc.
