And to be able to appear for JEE Advance you need to qualify JEE Mains being among the top 2,50,000 candidates.

JEE Mainis conducted for providing admission into B. Tech courses in various NITs/ IIITs & other Institutions all over the India. JEE Advancedis the examination on the basis of which admission to IITs are invited. Jee mains was conducted two times in a year from the previous year while jee advanced is conducted only once. Jee mains is an examination of 300 marks with questions from physics, chemistry and maths while her advanced has no fixed maximum marks.
