Well, to don't need to qualify in jee mains to pursue btech. There are private college which conduct their own entrance exam , some of them even ggive direct admission on the basis of board marks.

But for any student, Jee is the first priority . Jee is an entrance exam which is the gate for top engineering government college of india. Every pcm student aspires to get in iits and nits.

You should too try for the same.

No  you don't need to appear for mains instead of this there are many other private universities who conducts direct admission test or direct admission. They are also named Universities other then this you can also go on basis of 12 th results depends upon your state criteria.
