Computer Science faculty at PEC sadly sucks. I don't think you learn any technology here. 
Unless its changed since i passed out. Its purely upto the initiative of the student.

A friend of mine chose IIIT Allahabad couple of years ago. His peer group for computer science was much better.

I think CSE is a very worthy discipline. And one must aim to be good at it. 

PEC has a lot of people going for B Schools, and they do well there. Its got a good reputation even at IIM A. 

Chandigarh is a much more interesting city than Allahabad. So stay here, if your interests are beyong computer science. 

Passing subjects is as easy as it comes at PEC.

Both IIIT Allahabad and PEC are good colleges,but  CSE and IT are branches where placement is not completely depend on college (as compared to other branches).I know students who are form private colleges and have opted for CSE or IT but have good knowledge about their field and are placed in very good companies. As far as IIITA is considered the faculty is good, infrastructure is good, facilities are good and when it comes to the placements it is very good. As far as city is considered Chandigarh is far better than Allahabad,so here PEC has advantage.I know that there are students with good rank who go in PEC but I don't know much about its placement stats.
