As far as ranking point of view VIT stands far better than Thapar according to NIRF and MHRD parameters as well placement point of view both the colleges have decent placements record in CS branch but one most important thing is the fee structure which is the main difference in both these colleges in VIT fee structure for CSE will be high which usually depends on the rank where as in Thapar it is somewhat low.
