The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is the section of the society in India that belongs to the un-reserved category and has an annual family income of less than 8 lakh rupees. This category includes people that do not belong to the caste categories of ST/SC/OBC who already enjoy the benefits of reservation.

During your counselling process you have to apply through EWS category and have to submit respective certificate like Family annual income, EWS certification. You also have to give your details about caste and category and if you comes under their eligibility criteria then you will get the benefits of EWS category.

As you want to know the procedure to make the EWS certificate. The following is the procedure for that:

1. Download the EWS Certificate Format.
2. Fill up all the required information.
3. Paste a passport size photograph.
4. Attach all the required documments.
5. Submit this application to your nearest Tahsil/Block Office.

You have to attach some documents with the form. The following is the list of those documents:

1. Aadhar Card
2. Income Certificate
3. Caste Certificate
4. Domicile Certificate
5. Property Certificate
6. Passport Size Photo
7. Pan Card
8. Bank Statement
