Hello Aspirant,
According to the rules and regulations of NTA which conducts JEE Mains, it is mandatory for candidate who claims a reserved category to submit the caste certificate or the suitable certificate is issued by a qualified authority. If the aspirant is not able to submit this certificate then he/she has to submit an affidavit for this. They have to submit the valid caste certificate within the stipulated time. You said that you had applied the Gen-EWS category for the first attempt. But for some reason, this certificate is not valid anymore. So for the second attempt, you have to fill out the application form once again, but this time as a general candidate as during the first attempt, you had entered a different category.
