State merit number = your mhtcet rank

University merit number = your mhtcet rank among all candidates who geographically fall under your home university

All India merit = your jee mains rank among all candidates who applied for mhtcet cap.

for mht cet maharashtra councelling, state general merit number is used as the rank.
