Dear Aspirant,

It is highly unlikely for you to get admission in Mysore Medical College and Research Institute. It is a public Institute which offers mbbs admission to students who have secured a very good rank in the NEET entrance exam or have a very good quota rank or Category rank. As the number of seats are limited and the number of applicants is quite huge, therefore, the competition is quite intense. Infact the number of seats are so limited that it pales in comparison to the number of applicants. The institute has only an intake of 150 seats for MBBS course.

Another aspect of it against your chances are that the cutoff rank in NEET for mbbs in Mysore Medical College is close to 2500 for general category students for the first round of counselling. In the second round of counselling, the cut off rank is close to 4500. For the OBC category candidates, the cutoff ranks are no better as these ranks are also around the general category cutoff ranks for mbbs. Based on your NEET marks, your NEET rank should be in the range of 10000 to 13000.

The only way you can get admission in Mysore Medical College is that if you had an SC or Scheduled Caste, ST or Scheduled Tribe or PWD Category reservation. Only with such reservation criteria, you have great chances of getting admission in such a great college. I hope you understand the gravity of the situation right now and the perilous state that you are in right now.

You may look for some other Institutes which may offer admission to students of your NEET rank.

I hope you get admission in a good government Medical College for studying MBBS.

Dear aspirant

You have very good neet scores. There are very high chances that you will get this college through karnataka counseling. Last year cutoff rank for this college through State quota in mopup round was for GM CATEGORY- AIR 49360 and FOR GMH CATEGORY- AIR 92616.

So if we compare to last year then you have pretty decent chance to get this college. You will also get others government colleges in karnataka at your marks.

You can use our college predictor tool to predict the best college for you:

Hello aspirant
You have got good score. 581 us quite good score . You have not mentioned your category so if you are from general category, it is difficult to get seat in government medical college through all   India quota since   cut off is high this year. It also depends upon cut off of the college. Cut off vary each year and depends upon number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam, previous year's cut off etc .
You may get government college through state quota in following colleges
jss Medical College, Mysore
Mysore Medical College
