Dear Neha
There are in total approx. 28,000 seats in all the government medical colleges across India. Out of this 28,000, centralised counseling of NEET (via 15% All India Quota) will fill approx. 3,498 seats in first round of NEET centralised counseling process.

The rest 24,000 seats will be filled by respective states either via NEET 2016 scores (for states excepting NEET) or via State entrance exams (For states not accepting NEET scores).

Hope, this helps.
