Hello Abhi,

The NEET cut off varies from year to year, state to state and as well as college to college. It also depends on the Quota you are applying through as well as the Category of Admission. Government and Private Colleges have cut-offs of their own.

Assuming you are applying through the 15% All India Quota under General Category for a Government Medical College, the cut-off for NEET 2017 was Rank 5579 which corresponds to a score of approximately 520 marks out of 720.

With 173 marks out of 720, it will be difficult to get a seat anywhere. Competition for medical seats are quite vigorous. I suggest you keep your options open. All the very best!

You can try for private colleges. However, chances are quite bleak.

Hello,

According to your marks, chances are less for admission to Government colleges.

You may try for admission to Deemed Universities.

Good Luck!

Hello,

Hey abhi, with a score of 173 the chances of you getting a government medical college is slim. You can try for private colleges though

All the best
