The application process for Government Arts College coimbatore  conducted through Bharathiar University in both offline and online mode.

For admission in Diploma and UG courses, applicants must have passed 10+2 in relevant subjects from any recognised Board such as CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board.

Selection in these courses is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and as per the availability of seats.

Admission in MA, M. Com and M.Sc. requires a bachelors degree in relevant subjects from any recognised University/ Institution.

Selection criterion for these PG courses are direct and based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

For M.Sc. Mathematics, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and MCA, the applicants must have a graduate degree in relevant subjects.

Selection of candidates in B.Sc. is based on the entrance examination conducted by the concerned departments of the university.

The college offers several Diploma, UG, PG and PhD courses is different fields of Arts, Commerce and Science viz. BA, B.Com, B.Sc., MA, M.Com, M.Sc., MCA, Diploma in Bioinformatics, Banking Management and Web-designing along with Doctoral degrees.
