PSUs(Public sector undertakings) are government owned corporations.PSUs are mainly divided into three categories:

• Maharatna
  
• Navaratna
  
• Miniratna
  

Many PSUs shortlists the candidates who apply for a post in their organization based on the GATE score secured by the applicants.It depends on the PSU that they have to consider the score alone or to conduct few more tests.And also the weightage to be given for the GATE score during the selection process is also decided by them.Already many of the PSUs have released a notification regarding the application.
