The eligibility criteria for sanitary inspector,if you want to pursue an undergraduate degree then it can be started after class 10th too. However,this very area of study offers a diploma course too whose duration is upto 1,2or even 3 years depending upon the institute offering this course. The eligibility for that is passing class 10th or 12th.
