Hello Aman Raj! From your CRL rank of 5.4 lakh and SC category rank of approximately 40,000, you won't get a seat in premier NITs or IIITs, but you might still stand a chance in some lower GFTIs with less competition, particularly in home state quotas or less popular branches.

A few points to consider:

1. Attend JoSAA counselling – Fill as many GFTIs as you can, and do not shy away from taking core branches in smaller-known institutes.
2. Verify state-level counselling in Bihar – You could be getting fine government or half-government colleges in state quota.
3. Take backup of private colleges – Search for colleges that have scholarship or fee concessions for SC candidates.
4. Watch out for CSAB Special Round – Occasionally seats get vacant even in good colleges. after JoSAA.
