There is less competition in GATE BT Paper. A total of 18000 students appeared for GATE Biotechnology every year.
If you get a rank in top 1500, you may find a seat in IITs. In all about, 15% to 16% of the candidates were qualified in the exam. The GATE score will be valid for a period of three years after the declaration of result.
