As you have done Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Telangana then to study in Universities in other States, you need to write Lateral Entry Entrance Exams for admission into 2nd year of B.Tech. Most of the Colleges gives admissions based on State Level Entrance exam or University level entrance exam or Central level entrance exam.

Entrance exams for admission into B.Tech Lateral Entry are mentioned below.

1. DTU LEET conducted by Delhi Technological University, New Delhi India

2. UPSEE conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh

3. No separate exam but only through counselling Lateral Entry seats are filled in Tamil Nadu.

4. Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP ECET)

5. Haryana LEET conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society

6. MHT CET - Maharashtra State Level Entrance Exam

So, some colleges gives direct admission on basis of merit in 12 th standard or they can be Management seats or paid seats. here will be few seats available for Other State students which you can avail if you are eligible for.
