hello sir my 12th percentage is 48 % so what is my chances of getting admission in bsc optometry.

Hi,

  • The eligibility criteria for getting B.Sc Optometry is to have 50% aggregate marks in class 12 examination or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Private and government institutions both offers this course.
  • In government institutions , you have to appear for an entrance exam and after getting the required cutoff , you can get a seat in that particular college.
  • However, in private institutions they prepare a merit list on the basis on marks scored in your class 12 examination and gives you admission on that basis .
  • The cutoff for every college is different. It depends upon the college you want to join.
  • Renowned institutions such as PGIMER, AIIMS, JIPMER, etc. conducts entrance examination .
