Hello Ishika,
Japan offers several fully funded scholarships for international students, like the is MEXT scholarship, by the Government of Japan. This is the most popular and fully funded scholarship. It covers tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly allowance and airfare. But it is for students who want to study in Japan after 12th for undergraduate studies. You can apply for it through the Embassy of Japan in India. They release a form every year in April-May.
There are some private or University Scholarships. JASSO is a private scholarship and University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Osaka University are University scholarships. All these universities offer international scholarshipsafter 12th for undergraduate studies.
After you apply, you'll need to take a written exam in English, Maths and Science and an interview at the Japanese Embassy. If you pass they will guide you through the visa and university placement process. But if you want to go to Japan before class 12, you can apply for foreign student exchange scholarships like AFS Intercultural Programs India and Rotary Youth Exchange. It is sometimes fully funded and sometimes partially funded. The application form is open between October and January every year. So, if you are interested in the exchange program, now is the right time to go for it.
If you are aiming for higher studies in Japan, you need to start preparing now-
Best wishes to you!!!
