see age is not an obstacle if you have the eagerness to learn, you may join nios to complete your higher secondary course, after that there is many open university available which is nationally recognized like Indira gandhi open university, which degree is accepted by all private and government organization, it is necessary  to get a bachelors degree to get a high paying job, however you need to choose a stream for studying in 12th, since syllabus has changed a lot and you need to have good understanding of 10th level mathematics, basic sciences like physical science, life science to pursue further studies in science stream.
