To be concentrated while studying You need to have some interest in the subject and If You don't have interest then You need to develop, Try to correlate Your subjects with the real world Problems Including various realisation of Financial terms in the contest with Big economies like, In Dia. For example, if You are studying about GDP then don't take it as a term of curse Though in larger Perspective try to correlate with the current scenario like India economic Growth is 8% so try to understand what does it mean it will create an interest in the subject. I don't find any subject which is more Practical and Interesting compared to commerce.
