Hey Shubham
Well if your question aims on asking that how much difference it makes when you get a seat under EWS category compared to the general category, answer is yes there is a difference for sure . The EWS category has been introduced this year in order to provide reservation to those candidates who are from a background of low economic status. In each government sector, a reservation of 10% of the seats has been made for them. Thus, besides the general quota, they can compete for seats in EWS category also. What is to be noticed is that this has caused a reduction in the percentage of seats for which the general category( and also the other categeries) can compete, owing to the reservations. So, in exams like NEET as well, a student from EWS category will be better off than a general category student at the same All India Rank.
I hope this clears your query. Feel free to ask any other doubts.
Regards.
