The eligibility for IIT JAM biotechnology: 

• The MSc Biotechnology course is only available in IIT Bombay and IIT roorkee. The candidate must be a graduate in any of the BSc programmes, but should have had math in the 12th standard 

• The MSc-PhD dual degree in environmental science and engineering is available in IIT Bombay. The candidate is required to have had math in the 12th standard as well as either biology, biotechnology, mathematics, physics or chemistry for at least 4 semesters and any one of the above for two semesters 

• The integrated PhD in Biological sciences is a course available in IISc with a requirement of biology in the 12th standard. The candidate bachelors degree must be in either Biology, mathematics, physics or chemistry. It is most probable that a bachelors in biotechnology is also viewed as a qualifying criteria
