Hello,

When it comes to eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL, it's basically passed 10+2 from a recognized board in case of LDC/JSA/SA/DEO, only in case of DEO in CA&G there is compulsory requirement of passed 10+2 from a science stream with mathematics, in case of SSC CGL there are only three posts which have specific criteria pertaining to it which are as follows;

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: essential qualification is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, desirable qualification is ca/cma/cs/mcom/mba(finance),masters in business economics and masters in business studies

Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 60% marks in maths at 10+2 level or graduation in any subject with statisics as a subject in all the three years of graduation.

Statistical Investigator Grade II; Bachelor's degree in any discipline with statisics as a subject in all the three years of graduation.

Other than aforementioned posts, others only have eligibility criteria of passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Now, coming to your question the level of SSC exams in both cases have gone up in recent times, although still the level of banking exams is comparatively higher, but if you build your base strong then there is no way you cannot succeed, if your find mathematics weak then start with NCERTs book to build the foundation, go through previous year paper, practice is the key specially in case of maths and reasoning, the more practice you do the more better you become, after building the base strong proceed towards others books such as RK Agarwal's Quantitative Aptitude for competitive exams/M Tyra's Quicker Maths, or even Arihant Publication's Objective Mathematics , these are mostly preferred by SSC aspirants, you can use RK Agarwal's Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning or MK Pandey's Analytical Reasoning, read newspaper on a daily basis, you can choose The Hindu because in recent times many of the RCs were taken directly from here only, this will improve your english as well help in covering the dynamic portion, put emphasis on editorials for english section, for static portion of gk you can use lucent's gk, go through previous year paper because SSC often does repeat its questions, if you have any other query you can mention in the comment box below.

Hello student,

Though you are a average student you can still pass competitive exams by little hard work and smart work. Now coming to SSC CHSL and SSC CGL you need to be a graduate before giving this exam and yes this exam includes quantitative aptitude which has concepts like Average, profit and loss, time and distance, decimals, fractions etc. Now in order to leaen these buy some good reference books like 'Quicker maths' by M tyra or other books which help you develop maths. And when it comes to smart work start solving mock tests as much as you can and last year question papers. Go for newspapers like The Hindu. Follow some good you tube channels.

Now I will mention few links which will help you get a detailed information about exams.
