Hello student your category in first paper jee main will not change however in second Jee April examination you'll be treated as obc category so if you scored good than Jee main January attempt then you'll be treated as obc category but it your final score will be Jee main January examination then you'll be treated as Genral category student.

if I qualify the cut off in both the exams thorough general cut off for JEE advance and if score of Jan result is more than April in that case can I change my category during registration of JEE advance.

suresh chaudhary Yes for Jee advance you can change you're category but in Jee January examination you'll be treated as Genral category student.

Yash Dev It means sir ..on the basis of score of JEE Jan exam (if higher than April exam) I have to opt for general category only for JEE advanced.Any chance to change it to OBC NCL Sir at the time of registration of JEE advance.
