409 is a decent score and he can get the following colleges under 85% state qouta, according to the previous year's cutoffs

• Madurai medical college- 394 marks
• Thanjavur medical college- 369 marks
• Kilpauk medical college, Chennai- 393 marks
• Chengalpettu Medical college, Chengalpettu- 367 marks
  

These are the previous year's cutoff under OBC category.
If we see this year's trends of the cutoff, the cutoff has gone high this year.

hey dear,seeing this year's cutoff which went very high that even tge students getting 500 are worried about their colleges.So, with this score it would be very difficult to secure a govt. seat for mbbs although for other courses like BAMS,BDS andBHMS this score is sufficient for good govt. colleges.
