Companies don’t care about your GATE score as such. 
They have their own standard recruitment process through which every job aspirant has to go through. 
In the interviews, if you show that you have a good GATE score it would only mean your theoretical background is already up to a certain level and can give your an edge over others for entry-level positions.

Private companies need people with varying skillset and each of them try to make sure(via interviews) that the person who joins them has a matching skill-set.

your score will help you to impact a good impression on the interviewer and nothing more than that.
