Dear Harpreet, if you have completed secondary education and at least 12 years of formal education outside Japan, you are eligible to pursue Undergraduate courses in Japan. If you are going to study at a University, you are eligible for a College Student Resident Status. Not just at a University but you are eligible for this visa even if you study in a junior college/special training colleges/colleges of technology/preparatory educational institutions. Coming to your case, 10 years of formal education along with 2 years of Diploma is 12 years of formal education outside Japan. This makes you eligible for pursuing an Undergraduation course in Japan. Hope this helps!
