Not all students are eligible to write the Adity Birla Scholarship entrance exam. 

Only a few students from institutions like IIMS, XLRI, NLUs are eligible to write the entrance exam. 

The top 20 candidates are chosen after the entrance examinations for further selection rounds.

Candidates are asked to write an essay, they are interviewed by expert panelists. To get selected a candidate's overall performance in academics, extrs curricular activities, internships etc. are considered too.

Only top 20 people as per the cumulative score from top colleges which include IIM A,B,C,I,L,K,XLRI,FMS,MDI etc get a call for applying to ABG scholarship.

The top 20 are selected basis cumulative score. The cumulative score calculation and weightage varies from college to college. However everyone gives some weights to CAT score, GD, PI and profile.
Profile is something that you can't control at this stage. All you can control is your CAT percentile, GD and PI. Make sure you are the best in them.

For improving profile you cab take up part time jobs or internships and increase exposure. Positions like Microsoft student partner, google student partner etc also add value. Winners of technical fest and entrepreneurship adds huge value. You can do these over the next couple of months before you join IIM.

All you can do now once you do all this is wait and hope that you are among the top 20. If you get a chance to apply you will be asked to fill a form having 2-3 descriptive questions and some profile questions. Based on this further shortlisted candidates are called for interviews at ABG campus in Mumbai.

Across all campuses only the best few are selected finally.
