Improvement exam is usually written after you received your results. As per the reports for 12th you can only give improvement exam for one subject. For 11th it is possible to write improvement exam for three subjects.

You have to apply first online through the official website of your examination board. Also you have to pay the fee online. After that you can select the subject.
