first of all i wanna start giving my answer by stating that “ANYTHING IS Possible in the world but if you are really serious anxious about that.”

if you wanna get good rank in gate exam then you must have to do the following.

-you have to prepare notes of shortcuts and tips of each every subject so that you can solve easily all the questions.

-you have to revise all the notes once a week so that you can remember it for long time.

-you have to practice a lot questions(tricky) without looking at answer (:P), so you can improve your confidence about the subject.

-practice is more important in any competitive examination than just reading theory.

-there are so many GATE institutes in the india who provides Test series. you have to buy and you have to practice with it.

-you have to analysis of previous exam papers.(who conducted exam like iit bombay, iit madras, iisc ) and also do analysis on which subject they have given weightage.

-You will get definitely get good rank if you do above stated.
