Anyone who wants to become CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT can apply for it from any background but yes being from a Commerce background makes it easier to crack.

To become CA one needs to register for the course offered by the Institute . Three exams are there which needs to be cleared to become a CA.

• Foundation course- It happens to be of four months duration and after that students need to sit for the exam. If pass they move to the next level
• Intermediate Course- It happens to be of 8 months and after that students are required to pass in it to clear this level
• Final course- It extends to two years and one need to clear the final exam in order to successfully register at the ICAR site.

Only after clearing all the three levels one can be successfully register and work as charted accountant.
