Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

Applicants meet the eligibility criteria to get admission in B.sc offered at Gauhati University if they have cleared their Class 12 with 50% marks from a recognized board

Note: Candidates are suggested to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria as referenced by GU for the course in which they wish to get a secured seat.

Candidates belonging to reserved classes (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC) will be given marks relaxation of to 5%. however, children of permanent GU workers will be given marks relaxation of to 10% in entrance test marks

Admission Process

Candidates can get secured seats in courses offered at Gauhati University is dependent on an entrance exam which is of 100 marks and two hours term.

Applicants can fill Gauhati University applications either online or offline. The online application structure can be filled on the authority site of the college. Applicant can get the offline application form from GU Press or GU Information Center, WUS Building, Ambari, Guwahati - 1.

Gauhati University Application Fee : Rs.400

The application form should be accompanied by proper documents as well as a demand draft (DD) which is drawn in favor of the Registrar, Gauhati University, and is payable at State Bank of India, GU Branch.

Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card for the Gauhati University entrance exam from the official website of the university. Apart from this, aspirants can also request the admit card by post but for this, they need to contact the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
