Hello Lakkha,
Since JEE Main 2019 will be held on different days and sessions it is likely that some candidates will get a tough paper while some may get an easy one. To ensure that no candidate is at a disadvantage or, benefits from this, normalization of the marks obtained in JEE Main 2019 will be enforced for the purpose of ranking. NTA will rank students on the basis of their percentile scores which will be calculated as per a pre-determined formula.
The formula to be used will be:
100×No.of candidates appeared in the "Session" with raw score equal to or less than the candidate
÷
Total Number of Candidates appeared in the "Session"
All the best!
