Dear Aspirant,

Domicile is the proof that you belong to a particular state and that you should be allowed to get benefits of that over non resident candidates.Every state reserves some seats for their state candidates so if you have a particular state domicile that state will consider you in 85% state level quota at the time of counselling.

If you do not have a domicile certificate then you are considered in 15% All india quota at the time of counselling.

Hope you got your answer.

Thank you

Hello,

Domicile is the proof that a candidate belongs to a particular state, it helps in the admission procedure. A candidate can avail the benefit of the specific percentage of  seats reserved for a college in the same state where the candidate resides.

For example if the candidate belongs to Bihar, and has chosen a medical college of Bihar then the particular can get admission on the basis of the 85% State Quota seats reserved for the domicile candidates.

Hope this helps.
